Das Mühlenbrett ist ein innovatives Schneidbrett, das das Schneiden für jedermann erleichert. Es zeichnet sich durch ein integriertes senkrechtes Brett ("Schild") aus, an den das Schneidgut angedrückt wird. Dies erleichtert das Schneiden ganz allgemein: Duch das Andrücken wird das Schneidgut gestützt und stabilisert und ist dadurch leichter zu schneiden. Die Schnitte werden durch das stabiliserte Schneidgut und die optische Führung durch den Schild sauberer und gerader. Zudem ist das Schneidgut leichter zu halten, der Schild wirkt wie eine "dritte Hand".
Gerade unhandliche oder sehr kleine Schneidgüter (z.B. der Brot-Kant oder eine halbe Tomate), die sonst nur schwer oder kaum vernünftig geschnitten werden können, können mit dem Mühlenbrett problemlos bis zur letzten Scheibe aufgeschnitten werden. Die Verletzungsgefahr sinkt dabei, da kleines / kurzes Schneidgut nur angedrückt und nicht mit den Fingern gegriffen werden muss (die Finger sind dadurch weiter vom Messer entfernt).
Im Schild integriert ist je nach Modell eine Messerscheide zur Aufnahme des Messers, oder Magnete, so dass das Messer seitlich am Schild haften kann. Dadurch kann das Messer immer ergonomisch griffbereit dort abgelegt werden, wo es benötigt wird. Um es zu verstauen, kann das Mühlenbrett in zwei Teile zerlegt werden und passt so leicht z.B. in eine Schublade. Durch den Schild kann es aber auch stabil senkrecht z.B. hinten auf die Arbeitsplatte gestellt werden und ist so stets einsatzbereit.

The “millboard” is an innovative cutting board that facilitates cutting for everyone. It is characterized by an integrated vertical board ("shield") against which the material to be cut is pressed. This makes cutting easier in general: the material to be cut is supported and stabilized by the pressure, making it easier to cut. The cuts are cleaner and straighter due to the stabilized material and the optical guidance provided by the shield. In addition, the material to be cut is easier to hold, the blade acts like a "third hand".
Especially bulky or very small items (e.g. the edge of a loaf of bread or half a tomato), which would otherwise be difficult or impossible to cut properly, can be easily sliced to the last slice with the millboard. The risk of injury is reduced because small/short slices only need to be pressed and not gripped with the fingers (the fingers are thus further away from the knife).
Integrated into the shield is, depending on the model, a knife sheath to hold the knife, or magnets, so that the knife can stick to the side of the shield. This means that the knife can always be placed ergonomically within easy reach where it is needed. To store it, the billboard can be disassembled into two parts and thus easily fits into a drawer, for example. Due to the shield, it can also be placed stably vertically, e.g. on the back of the worktop, and is thus always ready for use.
